Northumberland, Trevorton Youths Earn NCPGA Scholarship Awards

Hummel’s Wharf, Pa- Two outstanding junior golfers and scholars have already headed off to college with an NCPGA scholarship under their arms. Northumberland’s Jake Snyder and Trevorton’s Cody Conklin were named the 2010 recipients of the annual awards made by the North Central Pennsylvania Golf Association. The scholarship awards, given annually since 1984, are in the amount of $3000.00, payable in four annual installments of $750.00 each. The winners were announced last month at the annual parent-child tournament conducted by the NCPGA.

In addition to both being fine students, both Snyder and Conklin were consistently among the top performers on the NCPGA Junior Golf Tour. Snyder, who received the Matthew P.
