Top Seed Advances to Match Play Semi-Finals
Semi Final matches will start at 8:10 on Thursday in the Match Play Championship
Hummels Wharf, Pa. – Top seeded Cody Conklin of Three Ponds and second seed Kyle Deisher of White Deer each enjoyed opening round success in today’s NCPGA Match Play Championship at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. However, only one of them advanced to the semifinals when Deisher suffered a quarterfinal loss at the hands of Mill Race’s Mike Klem. Conklin went on to defeat Three Ponds Shane Yeager one up to gain his spot in the semifinals to be played Thursday morning. Yeager had advanced to the second round by making birdies on the last two holes to nip CJ Tyler 1 up.
The semi final matches will pit Conklin against White Deer’s Travis Kennedy and Klem against Liberty Valley’s Max Wrobel. Kennedy knocked off Liberty Valley’s Nick Butto in the opening round and then outlasted Mill Race’s Anthony Weber, who had upset ... more
