Winton, Shipman Top Junior Tour at Mill Race
Jake Snyder finshed one shot behind the leaders Monday
Benton, Pa.- White Deer Golf Club’s Kyle Winton and Clinton Country Club’s Brayden Shipman both shot eight over par 78 here today to pace the 51 player field at the Mill Race Golf Club in the third event of the NCPGA Summer Junior Tour. Winton was awarded fist place in the boys 16-19 year old age division on a match of cards. Bucknell’s Jake Snyder finished third with 79.
Liberty Valley’s Derek Geedy won the 13-15 year old division with a 79 nipping West Park Golf Club’s (Arlington, Va.) Alec Guard by a shot. Shade Mountain’s Colin Rice was third with 83.
Ascher Marks and Austin Shellhammer, both of the Shade Mountain Golf Club, shot nine hole scores of 48 to pace the boys 10-12 year old division and Colin Holcombe of the Bucknell Golf Club and Derek Lewis of White Deer shared medalist honors among the 5-9 year old four ... more
