Weather Wins NCPGA Senior Finale

Rain...again!
Allenwood, Pa – In an unfortunate but fitting ending to the NCPGA Senior Tournament Series, mother nature had the last word here today at the White Deer Challenge Course. Heavy rains rendered the golf course unplayable and the season championship finale was shortened to nine holes with no clear winner decided among the final four top point earners from the season-long series. Steve Leitzel, the season’s top point earner and Carl Stackhouse, the second place point earner, both fired even par 36 for the nine holes of play and were declared co champs. Tim Harpster and Jeff Ranck, the third and fourth ranked point earners, did not play.
Bucknell Golf Club’s Dick Williamson paced the 60-69 year olds with a 38 while Nittany Country Club’s Frank Webster shot 40 to claim top honors among those 70-79.
